NJ WARREN — Warren's Environmental Commission reviewed two development applications July 15, raising concerns about one major site plan. The EC expressed no concerns about H&G Innovations' proposal for new and repurposed buildings at 11 Old Stirling Road. However, the commission flagged multiple environmental concerns about Toll NJ I, LLC's preliminary and final major site plan at 234 Mountain Avenue, citing violations of the 150-foot wetland buffer regulation, threats to endangered species including Bog turtles and the Indiana bat, and questions about stormwater management adequacy.

The EC recommended permeable interior roads, specific native plantings, dark sky lighting standards using 2700-3000 Kelvin or lower, cool roof technology, and raised concerns about insufficient home recycling space.
