Committee advances affordable housing Fourth Round plan

NJ WARREN — Warren Township Committee advances affordable housing implementation. The committee unanimously adopted ordinances creating six new affordable housing zoning districts and revising development fee and affordability control standards in compliance with the amended Fair Housing Act and a Superior Court-approved mediation agreement with Fair Share Housing Center. The actions implement Warren's Fourth Round fair share affordable housing obligation.
Additional actions included appropriating $763,343 for Mount Bethel Meeting House improvements based on an increased state grant and $445,000 for Valley View Road improvements, plus introducing three ordinances on first reading totaling $1 million for public safety communications, drainage improvements, and additional affordable housing units. All votes were unanimous.
