Township Committee · Meeting of May 14, 2026
NJ WARREN — Warren Committee adopts 2026 budget and authorizes $1.25 million in capital bonds for municipal improvements. Mayor Shaun Fine discussed cost-cutting measures including possible departure from the State Benefits Health Plan and road surfacing initiatives, with further savings discussions planned for 2027. The committee approved bond ordinances for $370,000 in Department of Public Works equipment and $880,000 for a sewer utility generator.
A non-binding referendum question was approved for November voters on whether to appropriate $7.5 million for preservation of the Hofheimer House, the former Municipal Building vacant since 2017, which would increase average residential property taxes by an estimated $81 annually.
