Warren open space panel plots trail work, volunteers, and Dealaman acquisition

Open Space Advisory Committee · Meeting of February 11, 2026

NJ WARREN — Warren Open Space Committee charts 2026 trail maintenance, volunteer effort, and Dealaman acquisition push. Chair Bill Gilbert and members outlined a maintenance plan beginning in March on main trails with weekly work from April, when the Department of Public Works will install new trail markers. The committee established a Volunteer Subcommittee to be led by Susan Zeitels and Shelly Molnar, which will draft policies and training procedures for public engagement and trail cleanups.

The township is pursuing a Green Acres grant for Dealaman Park, with a public hearing scheduled for February 19 at 7:00 PM in the Municipal Courtroom, for a project committee members noted will significantly expand the trail system.
