Zoning Board Approves Undersize Lot Variance

NJ WARREN — Zoning Board approves variance for new home on undersized Warren lot. The Zoning Board of Adjustment voted 8-0 to clear Myrtlewood, LLC to construct at 54 King George Road, a 51,351-square-foot parcel below the R-65 zone's 65,340-square-foot minimum. Attorney John Sullivan argued the variance satisfies both hardship and design criteria; the new home will replace a deteriorated structure and move the driveway to safer Thoresen Road.
Board Counsel Mark Peck confirmed lot size was the sole variance issue, with no substantial detriment to neighbors. Earlier, the board approved Old Glory Properties for a second-floor apartment variance, voting 7-0.
